    The best tacos and burritos within a 100 mile radius.   These are San Diego Tijuana style tacos where the cook chops up the meat on a cutting board right in front of you.  The tacos are cheap at $1.99 but absolutely loaded with meat!  I ask for the works....todo.  this is onions, cilantro, and salsa on request.   It's definitely a treat to veer away from the nasty mean I5 freeway traffic.  Check out this taqueria in Avenal!!!

    A few miles off Hwy 5, and worth the detour! On our way back home from LA, few hrs into our drive we got hungry, and were not looking to eat at a regular chain restaurant off the next exit. Handy yelp and google maps and Tacos Y Tortas Chalino's came up... delicious food. Quite the selection of meats.

    We had lengua, tripa and asada tacos.

    Next trip to LA we will make sure to stop by and try out their other options!

    We have tacos de carne asada, chorizo, tripe, and lengua!! It was the best tacos I've had in my life!!!

    Omg the best tacos I've ever had! If you have to go through Avenal, make your trip worth it by stopping by this taco shop. The crispy chicharon tacos are IT! I don't know any other place in Cali that serves crispy chicharon tacos, and I'm telling you, it's legit! They fry up their own pork belly so it's crispy as hell and they chop it up right in front of you to put in a nice warm tortilla. They top it off with their spicy salsa and sprinkle their fixins, it's the bomb! They aren't stingy with their meat either. I've also had their carnitas, adovada (pastor), barbacoa and chorizo. They are all marinated and cooked to perfection. See you again soon, Chalios!
